I am in the middle of preparing my little girl's forth birthday party.  So far I got the dips ready, baked the cake and will get started on the icing soon.

Earlier this week I made already some flowers out of gum paste.  Of course they do not look great, especially since I do not roll the paste thin enough to avoid it flipping over etc, nor am I willing to invest in any more baking tools, since I do cakes twice a year (= two children).

However, I do like my flowers, so I thought I stick them on my blog.  I really did not do much, just rolling it flat and sticking it all somehow together.  Perfectly all right for a little girls birthday :-)

these are my favourites

those ones I made for the impatient sweet theeths who can not wait

like those ones - just for fun!

Back

Soo, here I am again, after a long absence, due to:

a bit of Baltic Sea

 a bit of Italy

and lots of holiday activities, end of year school shows, tombolas, sleepovers, birthdays.....  I really neglected my blog and I am trying now to get back into swing.

School has started, lots of changes here in Franc so in one or two weeks we should be up and running.

I did manage to make a little beach outfit for my girl.  This year it is a dress, next year it will be a top and I loved making it so much - it certainly will have lots of friends hanging next to it when summer will be back next year!

Green is the colour of the moment so I was very happy that I did have some left over fabric after I made a pull on dress for me.
